One NuaDHA®1000 softgel contains approximately 90% omega-3, of which more than 85% is DHA (docosahexaenoic acid).
Taking 2 to 3 softgels per week will meet the omega-3 nutritional requirements established by the WHO.
On the other hand, European authorities have established that pregnant women can take up to 1000 mg/day.
If the dose is increased, a supranutritional dose (more than 1000 mg of omega-3) will be obtained. In this case, in addition to meeting basic nutritional needs, the additional amount may provide health benefits that would not be achieved with lower doses.
According to EFSA*, DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function.
DHA accounts for between 30% and 35% of brain unsaturated fat, making it a key nutrient for brain development during pregnancy and the first years of a baby's life. It is observed that DHA deficiencies are frequent (e.g., multiple pregnancies, premature or adopted children) and are often associated with learning, behavioral, psychomotor problems, etc., at school age.
